Education

Nicolaj holds an MBA from Leicester university, specialising in Strategy. This MBA was completed alongside a demanding C level career but was according to Nicolaj, imperative in relation to, basic theoretical and cutting edge knowledge, challenging everyday practicalities.

The ability to challenge existing paradigms and the opportunity to learn from the best was also the reasoning behind the completion of IMD Business School, management courses. This provided a unique opportunity to work with multiple nationalities and really be challenged by the top 1 %.

As part of the IMD relationship Nicolaj was appointed IMD Fellow for his remarkable contribution in relation to a Responsible Elective (volunteering, helping people in need) where he and a fellow student went to Cambodia and helped Friends International and Mit Sam Lahn with their strategy formulation, planning and execution.

Nicolaj also has a Marketing Economist degree, a military education a technical degree and several courses in project management, finance and innovation.

Work

It’s difficult to say what has been most rewarding, working as a CEO, CPO, Head of ECCO’s Global Sales Strategy, General Manager in Asia, International Project Manager working and executing in more than 90 markets or Entrepreneur, starting business from scratch. But one thing is certain, in his entire international career, hands on management, strategy execution and dot connecting have been common denominators.

Back in 2008 when Nicolaj was the CEO for ECCO’s global Accessories & Apparel business, he was appointed one out six Managing Directors in the ‘’Top 100 Talent’’ section of Berlingske Newsmagazine. This was great but also a turning point, where he first got the idea of pursuing a new direction, which several years later resulted in the start of what is now Rezolto.

The international career started back in 1994 In Chile and has since then included living and working in countries such as Thailand, USA, Mexico, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Switzerland and Denmark and doing business in many more.

Establishing Rezolto

Back in January 2012 Nicolaj started working as a management consultant helping companies improve commercial performance. Shortly after his start he was involved full time in the creation and launch of two new brands within the nutrition segment. This was a great adventure, bootstrapping a startup was quite the challenge, coming from the corporate world. But working with startups was extremely inspiring and evolved into the creation of an incubator/accelerator company.

The combination of working with international brands and startups also resulted in a new direction for the ‘’part time’’ consultancy, then called TinkTank. In 2015 Jesper Hammer and Nicolaj joined forces with the purpose of creating an international consulting business, based on real experience and the ability to combine the best from the corporate world with the best from the startup world.

In 2016 the foundation for further growth was in place, partners with the best possible competencies were approached. The customer base and lifestyle focus became clear and the foundation for Rezolto was established. And in January 2017 the name was changed from TinkTank to Rezolto.

I am extremely proud of the team we have established and the fact that I have the opportunity to work with these guys is beyond me. Smart people have always told me that – as long as you have the right people in your team, the success will come – so…. I feel truly privileged.
